ANTIVIBRATORY SUPPORT SYSTEM.
Object of the invention.
The present invention relates to an anti-vibration support system, applicable in the protection of various equipment and, in particular, of computer equipment, electronic equipment of data processing centers, laboratory equipment and, in general, any sensitive equipment that require protection against seismic movements and intense vibrations of any nature.
State of the art
Currently, different construction protection systems against seismic forces are known, which seek to isolate the construction, and / or its structural elements, from surface waves that occur in an earthquake. These protection systems include the floors or floating slabs of reinforced concrete, defined as an independent floor and at the same level as the rest of the concrete slab; said floors or floating slabs are supported on a rigid base by means of elastic elements, usually helical dampers.
These floating slabs are mainly used to prevent transmission to the building or structure of vibrations or noise produced by the operation of apparatus or machines.
The applicant of this invention is the holder of the Spanish patent ES 2 315 182 B1 referring to a device for placement in floating slabs and their installation system.
However, these types of floating slabs are not suitable for protection against seismic movements of certain vibration sensitive equipment,

such as computer equipment, data protection center equipment that has networked servers or hard disk drives for mass data storage.
Generally, these teams are located in cabinets or shelves, internationally called "racks", which are independent but in contact with their sides, and can be presented in the room forming one or more rows.
Currently, in order to guarantee the safety against earthquakes of these equipment and their sensitive components, it is necessary to minimize the movements and vibrations that are transmitted from the foundation to the racks that support the equipment to be protected; with this objective placing the equipment on the aforementioned floating slabs.
However, these floating slabs do not provide adequate protection to the equipment positioned on them since they are designed to prevent the transmission of vibrations from the equipment to the building and not vice versa; In addition, these floating slabs constitute only a base for the support of the equipment to be protected and do not perform any support of said equipment for its upper area.
This determines that, in case of earthquake, the equipment to be protected can move in an uncontrolled way both in the horizontal plane and in the vertical direction, being able to suffer significant damage and even fall laterally.
Description of the invention
The object of the invention is an anti-vibration support system intended to be positioned on the ground or other resistant surface and to provide those equipment positioned thereon with effective protection against seismic movements and vibrations of any nature.
For this, and according to the invention this support system comprises:

- a lower base composed of a floating bench that forms a support surface of the protective equipment, and a fixed bench anchored to the ground or other resistant surface;
- a superior base designed to rest on the equipment to be protected and,
- lateral structures that relate the fixed base of the lower base to the upper base, limiting the displacement of said upper base and the equipment to be protected, at least in the vertical direction.
The upper base together with the lateral structures provides stability to the equipment mounted on the floating platform, limiting its vertical displacement, minimizing its damage in case of earthquake, and preventing its fall or lateral overturning.
The floating bed is possible for limited displacements in three perpendicular axes X, Y, Z and is supported by lower elastic elements responsible for absorbing and minimizing the transmission of vertical movements, and on lateral elastic elements arranged between said floating bed and the fixed bench; limiting said lateral elastic elements the movement of the floating bench in the X-Y plane.
The fixed bench is anchored to the ground or other resistant surface; and limits, together with the lateral elastic elements, the lateral displacement of the floating bench in the X-Y plane;
The lateral structures comprise at least one inclined bar connected by means of damping elements to the upper base and to the fixed base base bed; limiting said lateral structures the displacement of the upper base and the equipment to be protected, thereby achieving the objective of the invention.
These side structures may have different configurations,

providing a greater or lesser limitation of the movements of the upper base with respect to the lower base; two examples of embodiment of the mentioned lateral structures having been represented in the attached figures, which are described below.
Description of the figures.
To complement the description that is being made and in order to facilitate the understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is attached to the present specification in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented:
- Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an exemplary embodiment of the anti-vibration support system according to the invention, in which the side structures have a blade-like configuration.
- Figure 2 shows a variant embodiment of the anti-vibration support system, according to the invention, in which the side structures comprise an inclined bar and two auxiliary bars that together with said inclined bar conform two configurations as "and" in the proximity of the upper and lower bases.
- Figure 3 shows an elevation view of the anti-vibration support system of Figure 2, sectioned by a vertical plane.
Preferred embodiment of the invention.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 1, the anti-vibration support system comprises:
- a lower base composed of a floating bench (1) and a fixed bench
(2);
- an upper base (3) and;
5

- lateral structures (4a) that relate the upper base (3) to the lower base.
The floating bench (1) forms a support surface of the equipment (E) to be protected and is possible from limited displacements in three perpendicular axes X, Y, Z.
Said floating bed (1) is supported by lower elastic elements (11) and lateral elastic elements (12) arranged between the floating bed (1) and the fixed bed (2). In the example shown, the lower (11) and lateral (12) elastic elements comprise springs.
For its part, the fixed bed (2) is anchored to the ground or other resistant surface; and together with the lateral elastic elements (12) it is responsible for limiting the lateral displacement of the floating bed (1) in the X-Y plane;
The upper base (3) is intended to rest on the equipment (E) to protect, and limit its displacement in the vertical direction, preventing it from being released from the floating bench (1) in case the support is subjected to strong vibrations , for example because of an earthquake.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 1, the system comprises on two opposite sides two side structures (4a) that relate the upper base (3) to the fixed base (2) of the lower base.
Each of the lateral structures (4a) comprises two inclined bars (41, 43), as a blade, joined together by their intermediate zone (44), and joined by the ends opposite the fixed bed (2) and the upper base (3) by means of damping elements (42).
Said lateral structures (4a), limit the displacement of the upper base (3) and the equipment (E) to be protected in the vertical direction, and also collaborate in limiting their lateral movement.
In said figure 1 the equipment (E) to be protected is a computer equipment that has been schematically represented.
In the variant embodiment shown in Figures 2 and 3 the system comprises two two side structures (4b) arranged on two opposite sides of the system.
Each of the lateral structures (4b) comprises: an inclined bar (41) joined at its ends to the fixed bed (2) and to the upper base (3) by means of damping elements (42); and two auxiliary bars (45) joined 10 respectively, at one end, to the fixed bed (2) and to the upper base
(3) by means of damping elements (46); said auxiliary bars (45) disposing on the opposite end of two bushes (47) mounted with the possibility of movement on the inclined bar (41).
15 Each of the auxiliary bars (45) defines with the inclined bar (41) a
configuration as "y" that allows a certain relative mobility of the upper base (3), limiting its vertical displacement, but without reaching the rigidity of the lateral structure (4a) of Figure 1.
As shown in said figure 3, in the rest position, the inclined bar (41) and the auxiliary bars (45) of the same lateral structure (4b) are arranged coplanarly.
Once the nature of the invention has been sufficiently described, as well as a preferred embodiment, it is stated for the appropriate purposes that the materials, shape, size and arrangement of the described elements may be modified, provided that this does not imply alteration of the essential features of the invention that are claimed below.
